Since graduating from the University of Toronto and joining his fathers practice in 1982, Dr. David Burstein has brought healthy smiles to so many faces. In singing his praises, patients frequently refer to his personal warmth as well as his skill.

The Burstein Legacy

Founder of our practice, Dr. James Burstein graduated on VE Day 1945 with a doctor of dental surgery degree. He started his practice in 1946 at College & Ossington, moving to St. Clair & Winona in 1968, where his son David joined him in 1982. After moving to Forest Hill Village in 2005, Dr. J. retired in December 2006. In addition to a remarkable 61 year career in which he earned the respect and affection of tens of thousands of patients, Dr. James Burstein was also the inventor of the DiscoverLight Portable Transilluminator, a diagnostic tool used in the detection of dental health issues, www.discoverlight.net.
